Shane Allen, PSP, LEED AP BD+C is the founding member of slate PROJECT CONTROLS and brings many years of experience in the construction industry. Our consulting office is based out of Melbourne, Florida and provides consulting services for our clients in the US and International locations.
Mr. Allen is a scheduling professional (PSP) and has prepared numerous baseline schedules, progress updates, and detailed CPM impact and delay analyses, including time extension requests. He has also reviewed and assisted in the preparation of claims for schedule delays.
Prior to forming slate PROJECT CONTROLS, Mr. Allen was a Managing Consultant with Berkeley Research Group (BRG) based in Orlando, FL, Senior Consultant with Construction Project Analytics Group (CPAG) and FTI Consulting (FTI) based in the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan area. He specialized in the development, updating and maintenance of critical path method (CPM) schedules as well as reviewed and assisted in the preparation of claims for schedule delays.
Before focusing on critical path method (“CPM”) scheduling and dispute resolution services, Mr. Allen spent more than twelve years managing the design and construction phases of multi-million dollar commercial, education, sports, parking garage and high-rise / mid-rise residential construction projects. His experience included assignments as a Project Manager, Project Engineer and Intern Architect.
Mr. Allen holds a Master of Building Construction, Master of Architecture and Bachelor of Design in Architecture degrees from the University of Florida. Mr. Allen is a AACE Certified Planning & Scheduling Professional (PSP) as administered by AACE International, LEED AP BD+C (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design – Accredited Professional in Building Design + Construction), and has served as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Florida for the Bachelor of Architecture Design Program.
